Interviewer: Because people so love your performance in Doctor Who, is there anything that fans most often talk to you about, when they approach you about the series?
David Tennant: No, not one specific thing. It’s one of those things that people are very enthusiastic about, everywhere I go, throughout the world. It’s got a reach unlike anything else. It’s just one of those things that people feel very possessive of, and I understand that completely. It feels like it’s yours, when you love something that much.
I think this episode showed a lot of what David Tennant and RTD can do. It was for me the most terrifying Doctor Who episode because of this scene. It’s also one of the most beautiful because, it shows us exactly what the doctor can be capable of, yet he does not truly really there. It helps us understand what his abilities as a Timelord truly are and it can help us understand why the rest of the Timelords went “crazy” and why he had to end the time war.. Because this is what can happen when you’re the most powerful being in the universe. We’ve got to remember there is not a thousand timelords anymore. There’s just him. he could be a God of the universe, the one and only, if he wanted to. He could give in to all evil but he chooses not to.
